After
a lovely day in downtown Lincoln and a great
parade, crowds gathered Friday evening at the
Logan County Airport for the first evening
balloon launch and glow of this year's Lincoln
Art & Balloon Festival. It was a great
night with mild temperatures, a gentle though
sometimes brisk breeze and lots of beautiful
balloons.

Four-year-old
Vivienne Jolie-Pitt is making her movie debut alongside her
famous mom.
Walt Disney Studios says Angelina Jolie's youngest daughter will
play a "minor role" in "Maleficent," in which
Angelina plays the
title character. Vivienne is set to play a young Princess
Aurora, who grows up to be evil Maleficent's target in the
live-action "Sleeping Beauty" tale.
Production on the film began in London in June. "Maleficent" is
set to hit theaters in March of 2014.
No word if Vivienne's twin brother, Knox, is working on a movie
career of his own.
In
this file photo from July 24, 2005, overall leader Lance Armstrong signals seven for
his seventh straight win in the Tour de France cycling race as he pedals during
the 21st and final stage of the race between Corbeil-Essonnes, south of Paris,
and the French capital. The superstar cyclist, whose stirring victories after
his comeback from cancer helped him transcend sports, chose not to pursue
arbitration in the drug case brought against him by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.
That was his last option in his bitter fight with USADA, and his decision set the
stage for the titles to be stripped and his name to be all but wiped from the
record books of the sport he once ruled.
