One
of the best parts of the holiday season is
Christmas lights. This weekend, when
you're out after dark, take a moment and look
around. The sights of Christmas are everywhere.

"What should I do
today?" Through the holiday season there are a lot
of activities going on. Make a list, plan your
shopping, eat out to avoid cooking, and save gas and
time by taking advantage of all the things you can find
locally...
Great things to do this weekend
Saturday
Take a short drive to Mount Pulaski today. Enjoy
lunch at BUFF'S FAMILY RESTAURANT, then do some shopping.
SADIE'S SECRET PLACE is a lovely little shop next door
to the restaurant. It is filled to the brim with
beautiful items that any lady on your list would be
happy to have.
Then take a very short walk and stop in at SALT CREEK
ATTIC. This store has something for everyone,
including tons of handmade items created by local
craftsmen. While you are there, pick up your
tickets for the MOUNT PULASKI HOME TOUR that starts at
4 p.m.
Then go around the corner and visit the other lovely
stores on the square.
And
don't forget to drive down the street a little piece and
do some shopping at Johnson's True Value. If power
tools are on your must-have list this Christmas, they
have some great items for you to choose from and a lot
of other great merchandise as well.

In this photo taken Oct. 29, chef Tyler Florence visits with customers at his Wayfare Tavern in San Francisco. If you've flipped on the Food
Network even once during the past 16 years, chances are good
you've encountered Florence, one of the original and most
enduring icons of the now sprawling network. His easy manner in
the kitchen and baby-faced good looks wooed viewers early and
kept him afloat even as his field got crowded.
