Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: This letter is a little late, but I feel that David
Lanterman deserves public recognition for the Christmas present he
presented to the students of Washington-Monroe Elementary School.
Mr. Lanterman worked with the PTO of W-M to make it financially
feasible, gave a great price for both the movie and snacks, enabling
the PTO to send the entire student body to see "Chipwrecked" at the
Lincoln Theater. The theater opened early and even allowed the
children to see the movie before anyone else did.
[to top of second column in this letter] |
All of the Lincoln Theater employees helped to set up popcorn and
pop and made it a wonderful experience for the students.
Mr. Lanterman and his people deserve a huge thank you, as does
the Washington-Monroe Parent Teacher Organization.
Bob Kidd
