Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: We are excited to announce the start of the "Give a
Little Love" fundraising campaign for our charity of choice, Ronald
McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois, or RMHCCI. We invite
you to participate and "Give a Little Love" by donating $1 or more,
and your name will be written on a heart to be displayed at
McDonald's from Jan. 26 through Valentine's Day on Feb. 14. One
hundred percent of the proceeds will stay in central Illinois and
benefit the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
Our Ronald McDonald House exists to provide a supportive home
away from home for families with children receiving medical care in
Springfield, Ill. Ronald McDonald House offers a good night's sleep,
hot meals and everything needed to keep parents' lives as simple as
possible while they tend to the important task at hand: devoting all
of their love and support to helping their child get well.

RMHCCI is a 501(c)(3) charity and could not provide a home away
from home to over 400 families each year without the wonderful
support of the central Illinois community. Please join us Jan.
26-Feb. 14 to give a lot of love for the families of Ronald McDonald
House Charities of Central Illinois!

Sincerely,
Jack and Gail Millan
