In
our long line of cute kid pictures, this little
guy has got to be right up there among the top
ones. Saturday
during the ScoutSweep day, he
was one of the smallest there, but
that didn't mean he couldn't help out. Here he is dutifully holding the base of the
"flagpole" while the Scouts prepare to raise
the flag for their traditional salute and
pledge.

This March 3, 1991,
image made from video provided by KTLA Los Angeles shows police
officers beating a man, later identified as Rodney King.
The clip of a prone King being beaten by Los Angeles police officers was replayed again and again on TV, the early version of video gone viral. It ushered in an era of a now-endless reality loop that plays 24/7 online, and fueled a growing public hunger for life captured on the fly
-- offered as news, entertainment or sometimes as both.
