LDN - Top Stories
It's
a done deal. Tuesday at noon, the city of
Lincoln, along with Atlanta, Mount Pulaski, Emden,
Ipava, Table Grove and the unincorporated areas
of Logan County, selected an electricity
provider. The company called Integrys will
sell electricity to residents and small
businesses in these communities for a rate close
to $0.02 less than the current Ameren rate.

Tuesday the
Thorntons Car Wash on North Logan Street had to
close due to a drainage issue. The issue
is being addressed, and it is hoped they will be
back up and running very soon.

obituaries free of charge and accepts pictures for obits free of
charge. The full text of the obituaries is available online free of
charge in Logan County and across the world. Email condolences are
available from subscribing funeral homes. Ask your funeral director
to make sure the obituary of your loved one is placed in Lincoln
Daily News.

This August 2010 photo
shows tourists arriving through the front door of Graceland,
Elvis Presley's home in Memphis, Tenn. Graceland opened for
tours on June 7, 1982. They sold out all 3,024 tickets on the
first day and didn't look back, forever changing the Memphis
tourist landscape while keeping Elvis and his legend alive.
Chicago White Sox's Adam Dunn watches his solo home run in the
eighth inning of a baseball game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday in
