Washington-Monroe Principal Ginger Yeazle helped students imagine
making a "Spring Escape" into outer space by donning this
special suit on Thursday. It was all part of their annual Spring
Escape activity day, where children explore what is beyond the
borders of their own community with an imagined "travel day."

was
heavily
damaged
in a
pre-dawn
fire
Friday.
The
second-story
section
was
heavily
involved
in fire
when the
first
volunteer
firefighters
arrived
at their
firehouse.
One
firefighter
was
transported
to a
hospital
after
suffering
smoke
inhalation.
Firefighters
managed
to get
their
trucks
and
other
equipment
out of
the
engine
room
bays
with
minimal
damage.
Several
area
fire
companies
assisted.
The
cause is
under
investigation.

Austria, on Friday.
The previously
unknown piano
piece from
Mozart was
discovered in
Tyrol, Austria. The
Mozart
Foundation in
Salzburg says
the piece
was found in a
handwritten
music book from
1780.

Chicago Bears running back Marion Barber is tackled by Denver
Broncos free safety Rahim Moore (26) during an NFL game in Denver between the
Denver Broncos and the Chicago Bears on Dec. 11, 2011. Barber posted on the
team's website Friday that he plans to retire. It comes one day after Michael
Bush signed a four-year, $14 million contract to be part of a backfield that
includes disgruntled Pro Bowl running back Matt Forte.
