Lincoln College starts strong at NJCAA women's golf nationals

[May 15, 2012]  DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The NJCAA Women's Golf National Championship began Monday at the LPGA International Golf Club on the Legends Course in Daytona Beach, Fla.

A total of 115 golfers from 36 member colleges are participating in the event.

Lincoln College got off to a great start on the individual side with Ellen Turner coming in with a 88 for fifth place, followed by Katie Frye in seventh with a 90 and Kendra Butler with a 96.

Leading the team competition is Redlands with a team score of 295.

The second of four rounds continues tomorrow.
