Vernon Charron and Anna Robbins were united in marriage on May 7, 1947, at the First Presbyterian Church of Lincoln. They are the parents of nine children: Linda (and Larry) Norman of Niles, Mich., Gloria (and William) Parker of Lincoln, Roy (and Thie) Charron of Osaka City, Japan, Sandra (and Gene) Allen of Lincoln, Gregory Charron (deceased), Gayla Charron of Lincoln, Carolyn (and George) Peden of Bloomington, Kenneth Charron of Hayward, Calif., and Elizabeth (and Kevin) Johnson of Pekin. They have 21 grandchildren (one of whom is deceased), 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
