On Friday, the Lynx dropped Spoon River 5-1 and 12-4 in Lincoln.
Resuming the series on Sunday in Canton, Lincoln came away with two
more wins, 12-0 and 11-6.This put the team at a 30-20 overall
record, 20-14 in the region and 18-14 in conference play, placing
Lincoln fourth in the conference.
The Lynx will begin regional tournament play on Thursday at 2
p.m. at Lanphier Park in Springfield. Lincoln will be the No. 4 seed
in the tournament and will face No. 5 seed Danville Community
College.
