Students at Carroll Catholic
observed Red Ribbon Week this week in a variety of ways, all
designed to show them that they can have fun without doing drugs.
The event was sponsored by the student
council. Throughout the year, the council organizes a variety
of events for the students. The students will host a
dance later in the school year. They are also planning events
for Catholic Schools Week, and they host after-school and evening events
for the whole family, such as roller skating. They also do a
sucker fundraiser, selling suckers to the students.
This year's student council consists of nine members
representing grades five through eight. They get together on a
regular basis with their adviser, Ms. Winter.
