[October 26, 2012]  SPRINGFIELD -- On Wednesday, Illinois State Police Zone 4 investigators arrested Melanie J. Blair, former San Jose village treasurer, for theft over $10,000.

Preliminary investigative details revealed that Blair had been using her full-time employment, at a local bank, to transfer village funds into several of her personal bank accounts between Sept. 14, 2009, and Oct. 8, 2012.

The Mason County state's attorney office filed charges on Blair, and an arrest warrant was obtained. Zone 4 agents arrested Blair, and she was booked into the Mason County Jail on one count of theft over $10,000.
