Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

Editor's note: With the election on Tuesday and no
rebuttal time remaining, and in the interest of equal fairness to
all by publicizing names, LDN is making this statement:
The candidates listed here are current board members who sent the
postal card referenced. CEL school district residents also received
another postal card advertisement with names of five other
candidates seeking positions, none of whom are currently on the
board: Jeff Brooks, Tish Podunajec, Jason Toft, Lori Birnbaum and
Randy Wolf. There is one other candidate on the ballot who did not
affiliate with either of these groups, is not on the board currently
and did not send out a postal card: Josh Long. Eleven candidates are
seeking six board seats. |
