Lincoln Fire Department Chief Mark Miller greets city aldermen outside the back door of the city firehouse Tuesday evening. The group was there for the second part of a tour they were taking, viewing the city police and fire departments. On next week's agenda will be a motion for a 4 percent utility tax. If the tax passes, the city will begin planning to build a safety complex that could house both the city departments in one location.  Find out more about this in the three Top Stories below.

This stirring collection of art photography is the work of Jim Grimaldi and is currently on display at City Hall in Lincoln. Grimaldi took these photos during the Oasis fire. In the near future the public will have the opportunity to purchase prints of these pictures, with the proceeds going to the Oasis building fund.

In this July 20 photo, Alex Lockhart, left, and Mikayla Green, both of Newark, watch the sunset while waiting for the movie to start at the Skyview drive-in theater in Lancaster, Ohio. The Skyview was the first drive-in theater in Ohio to convert to a digital projector. The latest threat to the existence of drive-in theaters is the conversion from 35 mm film to digital prints and the expense involved in converting projectors to the new format.
