Meghan Hough of the Lincoln/Logan Chamber of Commerce congratulates Goodwill Industries CEO Sharon Durbin on the relocation of their Lincoln store. Standing with Durbin is the president of Goodwill Industries, Richard Fix.  Goodwill has moved into the former Aldi location. Durbin said the new site will be not only a retail business but also the center for their outreach services.

After a few comments from Durbin, chamber president Don Peasley and chamber ambassador Marcia Cook, it was time to cut the ribbon.

Durbin gave the ribbon a snip, then opened the doors to a line of anxious shoppers waiting outside.

In an effort to slow down speeding traffic on South Kickapoo in Lincoln, the city has taken a couple of measures. First they striped the street to make it narrower.  Then they recently installed these solar-powered speed monitors. The monitor picks up the speed of a vehicle several feet before it reaches the sign and displays the figure for drivers to see. This week, during the early part of the day, LDN observed more than a half-dozen cars passing the speed display. Most were exceeding the limit by 2 to 3 mph, one was well below the limit, and one was almost 10 mph above the limit. The signs are at both the top and bottom of the hill.

She's the F to the E, R, G, the I, the E. Fergie has officially changed her name: The singer born Stacy Ann Ferguson is now Fergie Duhamel. The Grammy winner's representative confirmed the name change Friday.

Fergie is one-fourth of the Black Eyed Peas. She released her solo debut, "The Dutchess," in 2006. It launched five big hits, including "Fergalicious" and "Big Girls Don't Cry." The 38-year-old singer is married to 40-year-old actor Josh Duhamel (du-MEHL'). She is pregnant with their first child.
