The Crusaders won the seventh-grade contest 53-34. They were led
in scoring by Brayton Brown with 28 points, Denver Hoffert with
nine points and Dylan Singleton with eight. Rounding out the
scoring were Sean Peyres and Jayden Graham with three each and
Drew Singleton with two. The win moves the Crusaders to 11-4 on
the season. Quest Academy won the eighth-grade contest 38-21.
In that game the Crusaders were led by Cole Klockenga with 10
points, followed by Lance Podbelsek with four, Tylee Arnold with
three, Clayton Skelton with two, and Sean Peyres and Jake Kirgen
with one point each.
In Monday night's action, the Crusaders dropped a pair of
games to Springfield Christian. The seventh grade was led by
Brayton Brown with 12 points and Sean Peyres and Dylan Singleton
with six each. The eighth-graders were led by Aleck Bailey with
17 points and Cole Klockenga with 13.
The Crusaders are now off until after the new year begins,
with their next game on Jan. 7 at Carroll. It will be
"eighth-grade night."
