Wolverines take 2 from Saints

[December 19, 2013]  SPRINGFIELD — West Lincoln-Broadwell traveled to Springfield to face Calvary Academy on Tuesday night and won the pair of games.

In the seventh-grade game, WLB (5-8) won 42-31. Kaden Froebe led the Wolverines with 12 points and Kameron Whiteman scored nine. Also getting into the scoring column for WLB were Payton Batley and Shane Shumard with six points each, Blain Robbins with four, Justin Long and Patrick McCraith with two each, and Draden Pozsgai with one point.

In the eighth-grade contest, the Wolverines improved their record to 9-4 with a 58-41 victory. WLB was led by Zach Morris with 20 points while Froebe scored 18 and Jack Eimer also reached double digits with 17. Blake Jones added three points in the win.

The Wolverines will next play host to Springfield Christian after the holiday break, on Jan. 7, with the seventh-grade tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m.
