Anyone
who thinks that the city council doesn't labor over their decisions
hasn't been following the story of the bridge on Oglesby Avenue. This
week the council jumped a big hurdle when they came to a decision. The
bridge will be removed, probably sometime this spring or summer.
There still remains one big decision: what type of barrier to erect to
prevent vehicles from driving off into the creek.

This Wednesday photo released by ABC shows
Robin Roberts, seated at left, George Stephanopoulos, and, standing, from
left, Josh Elliott, Sam Champion and Lara Spencer on the set
of "Good Morning America" in New York. Five months after
undergoing a bone marrow transplant, Roberts is back on
television in the morning. Roberts said Wednesday she'd been "waiting 174 days to say this:
'Good morning, America.'" The
morning-show host is recovering from MDS, a blood and bone
marrow disease.
