Lincoln firefighters work to knock down a fire in a home in the 800 block of North Sherman. The fire began at approximately 8 a.m. Wednesday. The cause of the fire is currently undetermined. Read the official department report below.

This lovely painting entitled "Cast the first stone" is one of several on display in Lincoln City Hall this month by local artist Tony Shuff. Shuff studied art at Eastern Illinois University and has been creating works for the last 40 years. Be sure to stop in and see all of his work on display and read his biography as well.
