This is 14-year-old Kaylee Helton. Kaylee is currently in critical condition in a St. Louis hospital.

Kaylee and her family are Logan County natives. She graduated from New Holland-Middletown School and is now enrolled at Lincoln Community High School.

There will be a prayer vigil for Kaylee on Sunday evening in Scully Park in Lincoln.

The Mount Pulaski Lady Toppers' volleyball season came to an end Thursday night in the Hartsburg Sectional. The Lady Toppers may have lost the sectional championship to Sciota West Prairie, but they did not go down without a fight. The match went three games, with the Cyclones getting the best of the Lady Toppers 25-20, 28-30 and 25-21. Mount Pulaski was led by sophomore Maddy Davis with 20 kills and junior Whitney Nichols with 10 kills. The Lady Toppers finish the season with a record of 24 wins and 15 losses.
