On
Saturday, the eighth-grade boys basketball team from Chester-East
Lincoln
took home the hardware in convincing style by a score of
46-10 against Flanagan to win the Conerstone Christian
Academy tournament. The Panthers finished the round-robin tournament 3-0. Isiah Bowers led the way with 20
points, 16 steals and eight rebounds. Sam Birnbaum had 10 points
and seven boards, Josh Vinson eight points and six
boards, Jordan Jacobs one point and five steals, Nick Kromrey
three points, Will Ewald two points, and Dean Harris finished with
two points. The seventh-grade team finished the
tournament with a 1-2 record, dropping the contest to
Flanagan by a score of 27-19. Kromrey and Ewald led the scoring with
eight points each. Harris also had three points, Nate Arnold
got two
rebounds, and Xavier Miller had seven rebounds. CEL will
travel to Easton on Tuesday night to play Illini
