Saturday afternoon while the Mount Pulaski Fall Festival was going on at the heart of the village, another very special event was taking place at Veterans Park on the edge of town. The park's roadway and ball diamond were being dedicated to two of Mount Pulaski's most beloved coaches: Ed Butkovich and Robert Gasaway. At the end of the service, an invitation was made for everyone whose life had been affected or influenced by one or both of these great coaches to come forward and be a part of a group photo.
