[September 28, 2013]  BLOOMINGTON -- Miller Park Zoo is home to a large variety of birds of nearly every shape, color and size. But a pretty unique bird will be at the zoo on Sunday: Reggie Redbird.

As part of Illinois State University's Homecoming, Reggie Redbird will join his feathered friends at Miller Park Zoo, 1020 S. Morris Ave. in Bloomington, on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Reggie Redbird Day is an opportunity for guests to learn about the diverse collection of birds that can be seen at the zoo, including the bald eagle, green aracari, kookaburra and red-fronted macaw, in addition to the 27 species of birds in the "Tropical Rainforest" exhibit.

This event is free with paid zoo admission.
