In another little group, Michael Quarrell was reading to third-grader Dallas Forgy. The story they were on was about a 20-year-old white man named Andrew Goodman, who was killed because he fought for racial equality. Goodman was killed by a member of the Ku Klux Klan.

After the reading, Forgy said he knew a little bit about the Klan and civil rights, but he now understood more.
