Wednesday evening the Elks Lodge ballroom was literally full and overflowing for the annual Lincoln Day Dinner. Guests filled the 200-capacity room and overflowed into the restaurant dining area as Logan County Republicans saw one of their biggest events ever.

The Lincoln Community High School varsity Scholastic Bowl team placed fourth in Saturday's Masonic Academic Bowl sectional tournament, earning $100 for the school. 

Participating team members were Reagen Tibbs, freshman; Amanda Jones, junior; Austin Huerd, senior; Kieran Foster, junior; Kylee Foster, freshman; and team captain Elijah Sowers, senior. The team is coached by Aimee Ellis.

We're giving the snow pile a rest to bring you a little chuckle today. Meet Tiny Moe, yes, Tiny Moe Woodhall. Tiny Moe is one big boy, and it takes a lot of kibbles to keep him going. He earns his keep by helping out with some of the heavy lifting at the Wes Woodhall home. Here Tiny Moe is bringing in the firewood! Good puppy!

OK, so why would we have a picture of a tiny tot on the sports page?

Well, it's because this pint-size doll is a huge fan of the Lincoln Junior High School volleyball team. When she goes to the games, like the one last night against Chester-East Lincoln, she decks out in team colors.

Of course, her favorite player on the team is her big sister.

Reilly, 20 months old, is the daughter of Jonathan and Lisa Mestinsek.
