Thursday afternoon, high winds passing through Mount Pulaski caused damage to the downtown building that houses the Botanica flower shop. The decorative parapet and cornice were damaged. However, there was no roof damage and Botanica saw no disruption in business.

The snow pile is still shrinking! Although temperatures have dropped some, we can see a notable difference between our Friday picture and our Sunday picture. Around town, snow piles everywhere are shrinking, but it's still going to be a while before they are completely gone. There's an old wives' tale that goes, "As long as there is snow on the ground, it will snow again." We wonder, does that include snow piles?
