Mayor Keith Snyder shakes hands with Chad Kern, a Lincoln firefighter, immediately after swearing Kern in as the department's newest fire inspector.  Chief Mark Miller commented beforehand that Kern has been interested in filling this role on the department since his arrival in 2011. Miller also said he felt confident Kern would be an asset to the department in his new role.
