There is a new addition at Lincoln City Hall this week, albeit temporary.  This electric car charger is on loan to the city from Eaton Corp where they are made  locally.

On Tuesday an electric vehicle road trip being sponsored by the Illinois Green Economy Network will stop in Lincoln as well as Atlanta.

Mayor Keith Snyder will offer a few words on Tuesday at 11:30.  The participants of the road tour will then move on to Atlanta where at 12:15 Atlanta Mayor Fred Finchum will also welcome the tour to Logan County.

When the group moves on, their next stop is planned for Bloomington.

The city of Lincoln does not currently have a public charging location, but there is one established at Graue Chevrolet for electric cars that pass through the area.
