The Logan County Fair is just a week away. This year there are several great events going on in the grandstands. For folks who plan to attend those events, tickets will be sold at a new location. The little brown ticket shack will not be used. Instead, look to the south end of the grandstands for the large lighted sign marking the spot. Ticket sales will be conducted from the first green block building south of the grandstands, and immediately next door to the Fair office.

The Zonta Club of Lincoln awarded four scholarships this year to local students. Hannah Riedle of Mount Pulaski, pictured far left, was awarded a $1,000 Women’s Career Scholarship. Sylvia Klumpp, currently a student at the University of Illinois, Springfield, pictured third from the left, was awarded the $500 Women's Career Scholarship. The Zonta $500 Young Women in Public Affairs Scholarship went to Naomi Bailey, pictured fifth from the left. Meg Meeker (not available for photo), also received a $500 Women's Career Scholarship. Reidle, Klumpp, and Bailey are pictured with members of the Zonta Scholarship Committee.
