Ward 1 Alderman Scott Cooper takes his seat as the new Acting Mayor for the city of Lincoln on Monday night. Cooper was nominated and elected by unanimous vote by his fellow aldermen to serve out the remaining term of former Mayor Keith Snyder.

Natalie Oltmanns was recently named as the Lincoln Community High School Senior of the year. Oltmanns is the daughter of David and Teresa Oltmanns and was the Senior of the Month in January. The Senior of the Month and Senior of the year is sponsored by Town and Country Bank in Lincoln.

JACKSONVILLE, IL – Collin Antoine, of Lincoln, was named to the Second Team All-Conference squad by the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. A freshman second baseman at MacMurray College, Antoine batted .352; had 40 walks, the best in the conference, which led to an on-base percentage of .518, second-best in the conference.

The 2014 graduate of Lincoln Community High School in Lincoln is double-majoring in homeland security and criminal justice. He is the son of Edward and Peggy Antoine of Lincoln.
