On
Monday evening, Acting Mayor Marty Neitzel presented
Tracy Welch to the Lincoln City Council as her
choice to fill the Ward 1 Aldermanic vacancy. Welch
is known to the city council as the last sitting
president of Main Street Lincoln. In addition, he
has served on the Lincoln Planning Commission. The
selection was approved by a 6-0-1 vote. Neitzel, who
has the authority to vote as a Ward 4 alderman,
abstained.
