[January 08, 2016]  LINCOLN - The Lincoln City Council will hold a special meeting on Saturday afternoon at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in the Steinfort Room. The meeting is expected to last from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. It is to review the city’s Strategic Plan from 2015 and make adjustments to the plan as needed.

On the agenda:
Review of community data from March 2015
Review of the March 2015 Strategic Planning session
Discussion of upcoming capital projects
Update of progress on Strategic Plan Objectives
Strategic Plan updates
And “other discussion”

On March 6th and 7th, 2015, the city council held special workshop sessions in Normal to outline a five-year strategic plan for the city. That meeting was led by Katie Davison of the Northwestern Illinois University Center for Governmental Studies. When the two sessions were completed, Davison took the information gathered and compiled it into a plan document, the City of Lincoln 2020 Strategic Plan.

She later delivered the document to the city, which is now available for public viewing on the city website.
