LDN -- Top Stories

On Saturday evening, Santa was a busy guy in Logan County. First, he might have had a bit of a struggle getting into the area due to severe storms that passed through just as his reindeer might have been trying to find a good landing spot. But Santa and Rudolph will not be deterred when on a mission to make waiting children happy. Santa made an appearance in Emden to assist in lighting the community Christmas Tree and visit with kids there.

Santa was also seen in New Holland, visiting with children there during the annual New Holland Christmas celebration.

As volunteers inside the New Holland Firehouse and Community Center prepare for a chili and hot dog supper Saturday evening, the televisions on the wall tell the story of what the weather was looking like at that moment in that area. In spite of wind, rain, and less than perfect conditions, the New Holland community celebrated the arrival of the Christmas season with a parade, food, fellowship and of course, a visit from Santa Claus.
