year and so far there have been 49 signs that went to families of
junior high students and 80 to high school students who earned
straight A's, high honors and honors.
Supt. Hamm said the responses have been very
positive. The signs created a conversation piece, why signs are in
some yards and not others. "It is the kind of program you catch
somebody doing something great and want to reward them for it, a
very positive thing in the community."
The District plans to repeat the program.
