A
sure sign of spring in Logan County has
to be the arrival of the local Boy Scout
Barbeque, held every year in March. This
year, the group started on Wednesday
evening preparing meat for the BBQ. Some
of the youngest members of Scout Troop
102 were tasked with preparing the meat
by dressing it in the special rub that
makes the meat taste so delicious.
Since then the meat has been resting in
the rub. Slow smoking the meat will
start tonight and continue into
Saturday.
The annual BBQ will be held on Sunday
from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. On the menu:
Pulled pork sandwich, baked beans,
coleslaw, a beverage, and choice of
homemade dessert.
