								On
Saturday morning veterans from around the area
were treated to an appreciation breakfast at the
Eminence Church in rural Atlanta. The annual
event organized by church member Marsha
Fernandes is growing bigger each year. This year
there were more than 50 veterans in attendance.
Each one was served a hearty breakfast and
enjoyed special music presentations by students
from Lincoln Christian University. In addition
to enjoying a good meal, it was time for
veterans to spend time together remembering as
well as talking about their time of service.

								On
Saturday morning, members of the Elkhart
community came together for a special
re-dedication ceremony of a beloved statue in
the heart of the town. After a great deal of
work, the World War I Doughboy statue now stands
guard over a lovely remembrance garden. A ribbon
cutting was held to celebrate the day and then
the activities moved to the Elkhart Library..
