Among
the many delightful aspects of Small Business Saturday this past
weekend in Lincoln were street carolers. The Lincoln Community High
School Madrigal Choir came out in full wardrobe to perform for
shoppers around the square. Those who were in the area stopped to
enjoy the wonderful old time music.

By
unanimous vote, the Logan County Tourism Bureau Board of Directors
chose Logan County Circuit Clerk Mary Kelley to be the Grand Marshal
for the 2019 Christmas Parade. Kelley announced earlier this year
that she will be retiring from her position as Circuit Clerk. Kelly
has worked for the county since her teenage years. She has
volunteered where and when needed, has always supported the tourism
bureau and the efforts of those who choose to put our community in a
good light. The bureau feels she is a genuine ambassador for our
community and is proud to be able to honor her in this manner.
The parade will be this Thursday evening starting at 6:30 p.m. in
downtown Lincoln. Santa will bring up the end of the parade and
plans to stop at the LCTB Depot to visit with children afterward.
