On  Thursday, Logan County native Bethany Rademaker announced that she would run for the Republican nomination for Logan County Circuit Clerk.

Rademaker is the second person to announce her candidacy, which will necessitate a local primary election to be held early in 2020.

Rademaker's complete announcement is in today's edition of Lincoln Daily News.

The June winner of the Downtown Lincoln Window Display Contest is Sir Renna Tea. On Thursday Michelle Bauer of Country Financial presented the traveling trophy to Eileen Mullins and Dana Fronckewicz at the bubble tea shop. A glance at the background in the photo shows that while tea is their passion, Eileen and Dana have a lot to offer shoppers visiting the downtown area.

Sir Renna Tea collected a whopping 116 votes to win the contest. Mullins said she works it pretty hard soliciting votes each month. Her store was the winner in April then took a back seat to the Pink Shutter. Mullins said all through June, she encouraged customers to place their votes because "I want my trophy back!" The trophy will be on display in Mullins shop until the July winner is announced.

A voter name was also drawn from the Sir Renna Tea bucket, and the winner of that drawing is Ashley Lessen. Lessen will receive a $10 gift card to be used at Sir Renna Tea sponsored by Michelle Bauer Country Financial.
