On
Friday, storms were predicted for late in the afternoon and through
the night. However, Mother Nature had a different idea. Friday
morning this dense wall cloud moved through Logan County and dumped
a little bit of rain. Nothing so bad as what happened in Peoria
where they got more than five inches, but still kind of a surprise
for those thinking they had the morning to get outside work done.
Art Williams caught this particular shot from the watchtower at the
Logan County Airport. Impressive, to say the least.

A
special Lincoln College Alumni Baseball Reunion took place Friday,
September 20 through Sunday, September 22. More than fifty alumni
returned to campus from across the United States. Attendees included
former players, as well as previous coaches. Lynx Baseball Head
Coach of 27 years, Tony Thomas, alongside his wife, Bridgett Thomas,
hosted the weekend events. Bridgett is the current Lincoln College
Dean of Students.

Young
Joseph was a ball boy for the Lincoln Railers Football
Team Saturday night and he had a blast on the sidelines.
He never stopped cheering all night long for his boys in
green. Even during the intense game he asked the
officials for a picture with them and he got it. He was
the happiest kid on the field during the game and after
the game some of the players even lifted him on their
shoulders as Railer Nation celebrated. There is no doubt
he’s still smiling after the kindness of the officials
and that big 31-28 Railers win!
