Central Illinois Enforcement Group and Lincoln Police Department make multiple drug arrests in Lincoln

[June 26, 2020]  Agents from the Illinois State Police Central Illinois Enforcement Group and Lincoln Police Department conducted several investigations of those selling controlled substances in our jurisdiction. Those investigations led to the following arrests for narcotics charges.

These investigations are still open and in progress by the Central Illinois Enforcement Group. The arrest charges are merely allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

The Central Illinois Enforcement Group (CIEG) is a multi-jurisdictional narcotics task force which has served the District 9 area since 1986. The Central Illinois Enforcement Group is comprised of officers from the Illinois State Police, Athens Police Department, Christian County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police, Jacksonville Police Department, Lincoln Police Department, Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, Pana Police Department, Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office, Springfield Police Department, and the Taylorville Police Department.

Participating agencies: Illinois State Police CIEG, Lincoln Police Department, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Logan County State’s Attorney Office.

Delivery of narcotics in our community will not be tolerated and the Lincoln Police and the Illinois State Police CIEG will continue to seek out those participating in illegal narcotic sales.
