Talented teens display their work at LAI

Heather Jones displays her creation “Music is Art.” “I am really happy that I get to display my art in public,” she said at Thursday’s art show at the Lincoln Art Institute.



“Lavender Field” by Annalisa Alley. Annalisa is a sophomore at LCHS, and has been doing art for many years.


Devonte Brooks with his portrait of rapper XXXTentacion. ”When I finish a piece, it always feels like a great accomplishment, makes me feel good,” he said.

Abby Durkee enjoys working with ceramics more than any other art form. “My bowl took three weeks to complete,” she said.


A freshman at LCHS, Jenny Martens says art is fun for her. “Art is a large part of my life, and is an escape for me,” she said.


LCHS art teacher Lisa Miller (green dress, center) is surrounded by her young artists.


Allie Folks with her ceramic piece “Witches’ Potion.” Gallery owner and artist Moses Pinkerton said it had a lot of Salvatore Dali influence in it.


Isabella Brown created a portrait of her boyfriend.
