To the editor:

As a high school educator in Logan County for 14 years and now a school board member at LCHS, I often hope that our students learn the skills necessary to become lifelong learners and contributing members to our society, and specifically to their own communities.

I first met Bethany Rademaker as her teacher and have been blessed to watch her not only contribute to her community but also become a teacher and mentor herself. Her poise, grace under pressure, resilience and flexibility have not only shown in her personal life but also more prominently in her professional one.

Bethany has worked in the Logan County Courthouse in the Logan County Clerk and Recorder's Office processing and filing records, inputting them into software which makes them accessible online and preparing the election process. I remember a particular instance when a car accident resulted in Bethany wearing a leg brace and on crutches for a long while, and she was dressed professionally, marching as best anyone could on crutches into the Courthouse, always with a smile on her face, in the ice and snow that winter.

She is responsible, skilled, approachable and an excellent teacher, whether she is instructing fitness classes or working in a volunteer year-long director position with the Miss Logan County Fair Queen Association, assisting young ladies to pursue public speaking skills, poise and no less than excellent customer service.

The transition for Bethany into the Circuit Clerk's office will be as seamless as anyone else, due to Bethany’s work ethic and resilience as well as the utmost professionalism the incomparable Mary Kelley will share with whomever wins this position.

I endorse Bethany Rademaker without reservation as she seeks election to Logan County Circuit Clerk. Her professionalism, public speaking skills, integrity and attention to detail are unmatched.

I am encouraged by young women running for our local elections, going for the jobs they want, and promising to do right by our community, and wish them all the best of luck.

Regardless of your choice, I hope you’ll go to the polls on March 17th.

Jennifer Keith
