Monday evening, State Senator Sally Turner hosted an open house at her new Logan County office at 120 S. McLean Street, in the Farm Bureau building, in Lincoln. Office hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and closed one hour between noon and 1 p.m. for lunch breaks.

The open house Monday evening was held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. During that time, a steady flow of people dropped in to congratulate Turner on her new senate seat and talk with her about concerns of our district and our state.

On Monday evening, an open house hosted by Senator Sally Turner also drew people to stop by the newly opened offices of the Central Illinois Veteran's Commission, located across the hall from Turner.

Among the visitors who did stop in was Logan County Circuit Judge Jonathan Wright.

LDN spent time with staff in Turner's office and with Joe Schaler in the CIVC and will have additional coverage from both conversations in future editions.
