The Friday Paint the Paper Pink pictures feature five businesses. The people in the photos are either in groups of two or four, which is divisible by two.

The human body comes into this world with two breasts. It might be interesting to note that in the world of breast cancer, it is the left breast that most often develops cancer. It isn't always true, but most breast cancer diagnoses start in the left breast.

Heartland Community College

Various studies have theorized that the left breast is typically larger than the right, and with more tissue comes more risk. Other theories, not entirely proven, show a relationship between right-handed and left-handed, with left-handed people having a greater likelihood of having cancer on the right breast.

Thank you to Cricket, Deron Powell Insurance, the Hearing Aid Center, Heartland Community College, and Small Town Creations for showing your support for our breast cancer warriors.

Hundreds of costumed families and friends came out for the Halloween Fun Fest hosted at the Lincoln Park District on Thursday evening. There were a number of fun settings for pic ops including this fun spooky backdrop. The event drew a steady crowd of hundreds. Local service groups included Rotary, Marines and others, fire and police departments, and Lincoln College students facilitated games and handed out candy.

Look for more from the Halloween Fun Fest in a future edition of Lincoln Daily News.
