OTHER

As predicted, snow arrived in Lincoln late on Tuesday night and continued throughout most of the day on Wednesday. At 8:30 a.m., there were several inches on the ground, and more accumulated throughout the day. Windy conditions out in the country caused blowing and drifting as well.

So, with the heavy snow, would Puxitauny Phil have seen his shadow in Logan County on Wednesday morning? If you look, there appears to be some shadowing under the tree in the photo, so possibly he would have, meaning six more weeks of winter.

Snow and windy conditions are expected to continue today and travel will remain hazardous.
