									Saturday's
rainy day in Logan County was a blessing and
a curse for area farmers. The ground was dry
and crops were thirsty for the more than one
inch of rain that fell. But that rain also
came with high winds in some areas that
wreaked havoc on some local corn fields.
Fortunately, most of the corn in the area is
still in its youth with agile stocks that
may straighten up and continue to grow. But,
any time a plant is stressed like this,
there is the chance of a long term negative
									impact.

Thanks to reader Holly Snyder who snapped
this shot near Deer Creek in Logan County.
