The Logan County Tourism Bureau Board of Directors, Director Alice Roate and Assistant Lexi Groves, recently posed for a pink picture outside the Visitor Center at the Lincoln Depot. The group works together to enhance the tourist experience in Logan County, drawing attention to all the county offers for those who may stop by for a visit.

Teamwork is a big part of being on any board of directors. It is also a big part of the battle against breast cancer. If you are diagnosed, gather your pose'; the team of people who want to help you through this traumatic time. Choose your doctors and get to know the people serving you during your treatments and recovery. They are your team and will work together to ensure that you are cared for properly. A warrior must have a trusted team to be counted on to be there with the patient's best interest in mind.

On Thursday, October 13th, Tim Harmon stopped by the new offices of Lincoln Daily News to pick up the Ducati battery-powered kid's motorcycle that he won in the raffle drawing at the Pink Pumpkin Auction on October 6th.

The child's riding toy was donated to the Friends and Family Relay Team specifically for a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Tickets were sold at Rent One, Lincoln Daily News, a vendor event at the Oasis, and the Third Friday Downtown events in Lincoln.

Harmon was excited about his win, saying he has four grandchildren just the right age for the bike. He added he lives in a quiet area with little traffic, so he anticipates having it at his house for the grandkids when they visit.

The bike was presented to Harmon on behalf of the Friends and Family Relay Team and Rent One by Karen Hargis.
