Today, the Paint the Paper Pink - Pink Shirt picture features owner kay Armbruster and the staff of Cha-Dai Pet Motel in Lincoln. The pet motel is a safe and secure shelter for animals owned and loved by pet parents that want them well taken care of when they have to be absent.

Many of the guest animals at the motel are return customers. They have grown accustomed to the location and the staff. Familiarity helps relieve the separation anxiety of being away from their pet parent.

When breast cancer reaches a stage where the only option is a mastectomy, there is a great deal of anxiety afterward. As a member of the warrior support team, you may want to do something to relieve that stress. The best thing you can do is give your warrior a safe, secure place to express their feelings about what has happened to them. They may not want your advice. They may not want you to tell them it will all be alright. They really need you to listen with your ears and hear with your heart. Let them vent and let them know they are not wrong to feel the way they do. Tell them that they are loved and supported by everyone on their team and that it will get better.

On Saturday, the Humane Society of Logan County hosted Stuff the Truck and More at the Route 66 Garage on Fifth Street in Lincoln. Once again, the community came through in a big way. At the end of the day, the HSLC had collected 300 pounds of Dog Chow, 425 pounds of Puppy Chow, 225 pounds of Cat Chow, 105 pounds of Kitten Chow, and over 50 pounds of Milk Bone biscuits. The group also collected $1174 through 50/50 and gift basket raffles.

The HSLC is raising money for a new addition to the current shelter. The next fundraiser will be a picture with your pet event at Graue Chevrolet in November.

LDN will have additional details about that fundraiser in a future edition.
