On Saturday, the United Riders of Central Illinois hosted the annual Cruisin’ for a Cause fundraiser for the Lincoln Park District Special Olympics Team. The event included a car, truck and motorcycle cruise in, raffles, a bicycle give-away, food, music, bounce houses and much more.

By the end of the day, the club had raised over $9,000 for the Special Olympics team. See more from the event in today’s edition of Lincoln Daily News.

Emma Cordray, Marcia Cook and Mandy Cordray invite you to the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, July 15th for the new Metaphysical Store and Ems Gems on the second floor of the Lincoln Arts Institute and Moksha Center.

The ribbon cutting will take place at 1 p.m. with an open house to follow. During the afternoon there will be prizes, games, drawings for a crystal beginner basket, Geode Cracking demonstration, Free Aura Cleansing session, special introductory prices for Reiki and Chakra Balancing, snacks and refreshments.

The Lincoln Arts Institute and Moksha Center is located at 112 South McLean Street in Lincoln.

Notice of road closure

Starting on July 10th and continuing through the 14th, Canadian Railroad will be working on the railroad crossing at the intersection of South Washington Street & Scroggin Avenue.

These roads will be closed for railroad repairs / replacement of the railroad crossing at this intersection.

Please plan / schedule accordingly.
