It is with a heavy heart that we acknowledge
the passing of Bill Gossett.
Bill was a dear friend and a great advocate
of Lincoln Daily News. He was loved and
respected by the owners, staff and
stringers. He will be greatly missed by all
of us as well as many folks in the
community. |

Thursday
morning found a large crowd gathered for the annual
Ag Scholarship Breakfast hosted by the Logan County
Farm Bureau at the American Legion Post 263 in
Lincoln. Though the day began early, at 7 a.m. there
were many folks on hand happily preparing for a
great breakfast and the celebration of six young
people who would be the recipients of this year’s
scholarships.
This year the Farm Bureau with support from its many
sponsors awarded $23,000 in scholarships to six
students. Those students, all planning futures in
agriculture are Reed Naughton, Rohan Allspach,
Liam Smith, Abby Jones and Kristy Morrow.
